Occupational Health and Wellness Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive and objective Occupational Health and Wellness advice to the company’s UK locations. Exercising considerable initiative; work autonomously and will establish relationships with service users and managers.

Essential functions:
To provide professional, confidential and objective occupational health advice
To provide health surveillance in accordance with current legislation. This will include personally carrying out surveillance as well as the day to day supervision of a Technician.
To be involved in sickness absence case management. Including return to work and rehabilitation programmes
Undertake new starter health screening
Support the UK Wellness Programme
To attend meetings as required providing specialist advice to managers to assist with their decision making
To assist the Occupational Health & Wellness Advisor with projects where required
Periodically review existing information systems, and other Occupational Health systems, making recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
Provide cover for other clinical colleagues in times of sickness and annual leave and in times of work pressure, as required.
Ensure that at all times the service complies with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, the Data Protection Act 1998, The Access to Medical Records Reports Act 1988 and all other relevant legislation.

Wymagania

Registration with NMC
Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health or equivalent
Sound educational background including a good standard of numeracy and written English.
Proven Manufacturing Occupational Health/ Mental Health experience an advantage
Ability to work effectively/autonomously with minimum supervision.
Able to prioritise own workload and manage own time, self motivated and capable of working flexibly and to strict deadlines using own initiative.
A team player with the ability to plan and organise the work within the team in order to meet specified deadlines and service needs.
Negotiation and motivational skills
Clean driving license and access to a vehicle
Flexibility to cover all company shift patterns and UK locations
Computer literate and competent in the use of all Microsoft Office Applications e.g. email word processing and spreadsheets etc.
Confidence, assertiveness, tact, diplomacy and empathy for dealing with clients.
